This is a *1941 Malayan One Dollar banknote* issued by the *Board of Commissioners of Currency, Malaya*. It's a historical collectible, not legal tender anymore.

This note was i just before the Japanese occupation of Malaya in WWII (Dec 1941). It circulated in what’s now Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei. After 1953 it was replaced by Malaya and British.
